A screw press applies mechanical pressure to prepared oilseed, separating an oil stream from press cake. The resulting oil can contain suspended solids that require further handling.
Filtration is a separate stage for removing suspended material. The optional vacuum filter described for the VG-120D II has a reference oil throughput of 50–160 kg/h depending on conditions. This is not the press seed feed capacity, and it must be matched to the actual oil flow and filtration duty.
Filtration is not the same as refining. Requirements for food use, packaging, storage and market compliance depend on the product and destination. Define your end-product requirements with qualified local specialists and confirm the necessary process steps.
When contacting VOLGA, state whether you need a press only or a pressing and filtration configuration. The scope and final specifications will be confirmed for your application.
